Unfortuantly I am super selective when it comes to hotels. Hidden behind grander offered by the service industry is high bed turn overs, dust, and worst of all - micro shower tiles with terrible caulking. The higher the price or status, does not guarantee comfort. For example, I will stay at the Four Seasons Miami Beach - Surfside location in a heart beat. The Four Seasons Santa Barbra location, on the other hand, should be avoided at all costs.
Upside - I have the kindest, most amazing boyfriend who is a New York City native and allows me to crash at his place and escorts me everywhere for protection.
